Ten-Branch Tree

"Ten Branch Tree" 

One of my algorithmic tree designs. I wrote an algorithm to make this branching tree object. It is very intricate and could only be made with a 3d Printer. It reminds me of a sea anemone or some other creature. It is tree-like but doesn't look like any tree I have ever seen. 

It is an excellent gift for crypto-biologists, botanists, sci-fi afficionados, or other fans of maximal art. As an object of art, it would be suitable for a centerpiece, on a bookcase, on your desk, or a coffee table.

I am a Steve Scott, an artist who makes designs with math. None of my work is mass produced, it is all limited run, original, and nothing like what you have seen before.

Each sculpture is individually 3D printed.
The nylon sculptures are formed using lasers to melt the nylon dust into an object, called Selective Laser Sintering.

The bronze is made in an entirely different process called lost-wax casting.

◄ CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR SCULPTURES ►
All the aluminum or nylon sculptures really need is a light dusting with an electrostatic duster or with a damp cloth with mild dish soap. Bronze sculptures develop a patina over time.
